"Overheard Conversations"

For this project to be a success I had to become a master earwigger. We had to listen to other people's conversations whenever we had a free moment and fill an A6 sketchbook with our findings. The catch was in order to complete the snippets of conversation we had to illustrate them in the way in which they were said. For example, "mum I feel light headed" (above) was produced in a thin, light, airy cotton finish to convey the idea of floating, feeling weightless, and perhaps nauseous. Although the project has ended I've developed a complex of listening to conversations and then trying to figure out how I'd illustrate it.
